The Senior Advisor to Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore, Emmanuel Lolimo Epone, has safely returned to Kapoeta after recovering from serious gunshot injuries sustained in a deadly road ambush last month.
Lolimo was attacked while traveling from Kapoeta to Torit after attending an official function in Kapoeta South County. The ambush left him critically wounded, forcing him to undergo specialised medical treatment.
Upon his arrival at the Kapoeta airstrip, Lolimo shared an emotional message on his social media platforms, expressing gratitude to God, the medical team that treated him, the state government, and the people who supported him throughout his recovery.
“I am truly blessed to be back home with renewed strength, hope, and a grateful heart. Thank you to everyone who kept me in your prayers and welcomed me so warmly,” he wrote.
Lolimo paid special tribute to the medical staff of Maxicare Medical and Surgical Complex for what he described as exceptional care that made his recovery possible.
He also thanked Governor Louis Lobong Lojore and the Government of Eastern Equatoria State for their unwavering support and encouragement during his treatment.
The governor’s advisor further expressed gratitude to Almighty God for preserving his life and granting him healing, saying he is looking forward to resuming his official duties with renewed commitment.
Lolimo called on the people of Eastern Equatoria to continue working together to build a peaceful, united, and prosperous state.
