Nigeria expresses readiness in building capacity of South Sudanese to develop and reinforce the country’s Aviation sector.
Director and Chief Executive officer of Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, Dr. Danjuma Ismaila made the pledge while addressing South Sudan delegation, on aviation study tour.
The South Sudan delegation comprised of top technical and administrative personnel, who explored NCAT’s facilities to assess training and capacity offerings.
The visit followed a directive from President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, aimed at developing skilled human resource for the nation’s aviation industry.
The mission sought to establish partnership to bridge human capital gap in South Sudan’s growing air transport industry.
According to a statement, Director General of South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, John Woja Eliana, who led a delegation, the group was shown modern hangars, aircraft fleet, air traffic control tower, and advanced simulators.
The team was impressed by the scale and sophistication of NCAT’s infrastructure and the range of training programs offered.
