The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore, formally introduced the newly appointed Chief Administrator of Kauto Administrative Area and vow to improve service delivery.

The governor introduced Lomanat Kevin Joseph Lokirita to the local communities of Kuron and indirect him to ensure service delivery in the area.

The introduction during an event held in Kuron on Wednesday, August 5th, 2025, marks a key milestone in ongoing efforts by the state government to extend administrative authority and enhance governance in remote and underserved regions.

The introduction follows the recent establishment of the Kauto Administrative Area through a gubernatorial executive order on July 15, 2025, which was endorsed during the Regular Council of Ministers Sitting No. 11/2025 and the Regular Security Meeting No. 22/2025.

During the ceremony, governor Lobong told residents that the establishment of the Kauto Administrative Area was necessitated by the need to fill critical governance gaps, bolster security, and improve public service delivery.

“This introduction is not just ceremonial; it is a reaffirmation of our dedication to bringing leadership closer to the people and ensuring that no community is left behind,” he said.

The governor also discussed key development priorities and strategies for promoting peace and inclusivity during an engagement with traditional leaders, local authorities, and community members. He concluded by urging residents to support the new leadership and participate actively in shaping the future of their communities.

The introduction of the Chief Administrator is expected to pave the way for improved coordination in local governance, better access to services, and enhanced security in Kauto. The move also signals a broader effort by the state government to promote peacebuilding and inclusive development across Eastern Equatoria.
