The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore, has yesterday encouraged partners and stakeholders to explore the vast investment opportunities available across various sectors in the State.
According to statement issued by the state press unit, Lobong remarks came during a meeting with the Intergovernmental Authority on development (IGAD) Head of Mission to the Republic of South Sudan, Mr. David Mogga Kawaje,
The statement underlined their discussions centred on unlocking investment opportunities in the State.
According to the statement, Governor Lobong assured the IGAD envoy of safety during his planned visit, stressing that Eastern Equatoria is among the most peaceful states in South Sudan and provides a secure environment for investors.
It also underscored the Governor is also scheduled to meet with government institutions and development partners to advance dialogue on development and investment initiatives.
The statement emphasized that during the meeting, Mr. David Mogga pledged to visit Eastern Equatoria State in September to assess its investment potential.
In June, 2023, Lobong emphasized that peace is the foundation for development, reaffirming his regime was committed to maintaining peaceful environment.
“Since peace is the foundation for development, my administration has been trying to avail a conducive environment for the people of Eastern Equatoria to engage in socio-economic activities” he stated.
