The Governor of Central Equatoria state, Rabi Mujung Emannuel has called on the Sudan people Liberation Movement party to renew unity as the country is preparing for December 2026 election.
Governor Mujung, who is also the Chairperson of SPLM party in Central state made the remark yesterday during a launching of SPLM membership Registration and Identity card production in Juba.
“As we prepare for 2026 elections, let us carry forward this liberation legacy by renewing our structures, strengthening our unity, and reforming the trust of our people” he said.
Mujung emphasized that the SPLM is not just a political organization but the quintessential of the sacrifice of our matters, heroes and heroines who brought us freedom and independence.
“The journey of liberation continues, not with the gun, but with our unity, our bullets, and also our ideas” he underlined.
He called on the party members to sustain peaceful coexistence with the countries and communities surrounding South Sudan
“At this time, I urge all members to uphold peaceful coexistence within neighboring countries and communities” he emphasized.
Munjung underscored where challenges arise, “let us always seek dialogue and peaceful solutions”.
He stated that the Sudan People Liberation Movement is, and will always remain a party of peace, unity, and harmony.
He further reaffirmed the party loyalty and unwavering support to the leadership of the Chairman.
“His Excellency Comrade Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic and Chairman of the SPLM Multi-Party, under his guidance, the SPLM shall remain the beacon of unity, peace, and progress for all South Sudanese” Mujung highlighted.
The Sudan Peoples Liberation Movement became the ruling party of the new republic when South Sudan became a sovereign state on 9 July 2011.
