Authorities in Aweil Center of Northern Bahr El Gazal state has confirmed that they had apprehended and detained seven suspects over breaking into Raandit Money transfer company,
Police inspector in Aroyo, the county headquarters, Moses Akuar said that the incident occurred on Tuesday and the suspects were being held over this accusation.
Speaking to this news outlet, Akuar said the investigations are ongoing as the real masterminds would be found among the accused.
“The accused have been arrested and what they did is that they came at night and broke into the shops and some residents are doing all they could to tip us off the information necessary so that the accused number is produced” Akuar said.
He said some crimes were happening including night robberies, emphasizing that a woman was attacked last Saturday.
“A woman was attacked on her way home as she was approaching home, some boys make groups here and they are known and that is why we are holding these young men” he stated.
Such crimes are being fueled by lack of jobs in the country as some people have no entrepreneurial jobs to put foods on table.
