TORIT—The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Louis Lobong Lojore, has pledged a comprehensive renovation of the Torit High Court, promising to significantly improve the working and living environment for members of the judiciary.
The promise was made following the Governor’s visit on Monday to commend the President of the High Court, Dr. Ladu Arminio Sekwat, and the entire judicial team.
In a formal statement, Governor Lobong acknowledged the critical, patriotic role of the judiciary in serving the nation, despite the difficult challenges they face in their profession. He committed to ensuring a more conducive working and living environment is achieved for the state’s legal officers.
In response, two legal officers thanked the Governor for his visit, expressing appreciation for his concern towards the people of Eastern Equatoria State and the institution of justice. The Governor, in turn, reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Eastern Equatoria with commitment and integrity.
The promised renovation is expected to boost moral and enhance the delivery of justice in Torit, addressing long-standing needs for improved judicial infrastructure.
