Over 3000 Pupils sit for Primary Leaving Examination across Jonglei State

At least 3,266 Primary Eight candidates are undertaking Certificate for Primary Education across Jonglei State on Monday.

During the official Bell ringing ceremony in Bor, Hon. Samuel Adoor, the state minister for Education in Jonglei expressed that among the 3,266 Candidates, 2,084 are boys while 1, 184 are girls siting exams across 42 centres.

“We encourage all the pupils to remain calm, confident, and focused as they undertake their examinations. All examination materials have been securely distributed, with security personnel, invigilators, and supervisors deployed to ensure a smooth and transparent process across all the centres” Ador Said.

Mr. Ador stated about 54 Public Schools and 28 private school have had significance enrolment of the Primary Eight Candidates this year.

He assured the Public that the exams properly guarded and transparently administer by the well-oriented invigilators.

On other hand, upon ringing the Bell to mark the commencement of CEP Exams in Bor, Dr. Riek Gai Kok, the governor of Jonglei State emphasised the importance of Education, noting it as key to bright future.

“I am confident that our President is following the progress across the ten states and three administrative areas. The efforts of your government, teachers, and parents are bearing fruit today. As you move forward, your government and partners will continue to support you. For those aspiring to become teachers, professors, engineers, the sky is the limit.” Dr. Riek Said.

 Dr. Riek applauded the Candidates and Parents for the resilience and determination in investing in Education despite several key challenges such as Economic Meltdown, and Insecurity among others facing the Country.

 “We are here for the official bell ringing, and I want our daughters and sons to be confident. Bor A and B will remain at the top of the nation. We thank the donors, partners, parents, and teachers for ensuring a conducive environment for our children to reach this landmark day of 24 November’’ he said.

 Governor Riek acknowledged significant role that Partners have been playing in Supporting Education System in South Sudan.

He stated that the future belongs to children being invested in Education in the Country; citing most of them would be the future leaders to sheave South Sudan next destiny.
