President Salva Kiir Mayardit has sacked several National Ministers representing the Sudan People’s liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM IO) Off their duties.
The change was made in a presidential decree read on the state own South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC).
The head of state relieved Lasuba Lodoro Wango from his position as a Minister of Federal Affairs and also relieved Martin Gama Abucha from his position a Minister of Mining.
Kiir further relieved Peter Marcelo Nasir from his position as a Minister of Energy and Dam including Aya Benjimin Warile from her position as a Minister of Gender Child and Welfare
In a separate decree, president Kiir appointed Pur Solomon Gok as a new Minister of Federal Affairs.
He also reappointed Lasuba Lodoru Wango as a new Minister of Mining and Agok Makur Kur as a new Minister of Energy and Dams.
Nuna Ruthop Endefu was also appointed as a new Minister of Gender Child Welfare.
“The President of the Republic extends his gratitude to the outgoing ministers for their dedicated service to the nation and conveys best wishes to the newly appointed ministers as they assume their responsibilities” the statement read.
