Kiir dismisses Press secretary, chief administrator

The President of Republic of South Sudan Salva Kiir Mayardit has dismissed the Press secretary and the chief administrator in the President office.
In a statement issued Tuesday on Presidential Press Unit, the Office of the President publicly informed the citizens about new changes.
According to the statement, the relieved officials are Valentino Dhel Malueth, the Chief administrator who was replaced by Marik Nanga Marik.
David Amour Majur was also relived from his duties as Press secretary in the office of the president.
According to the statement the position of the Press Secretary is still pending and would be announced in due course.
“The appointment for the position of press secretary, Office of the president is currently pending and will be announced in due process,” the statement read in part.
The president further expressed his profound gratitude to the outgoing officials for dedicated service and contribution to the nation during their tenure, added that he conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed officials in their role.
The statement didn’t disclose the reason for the widespread reshuffle, which is a common exercise of executive power in South Sudan
