The Ministry of health and the partners team has officially assessed the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP) in Gumbo boma, Rajaf Payam in Juba County of Central Equatoria state.
In a statement issued Monday by the ministry of health Press Unit yesterday, the ministry and the partners conducted a key visit to the warehouse in Gumbo Boma in order to review the disposal sites.
“The purpose of the visit was to assess the storage capacity for upcoming HSTP commodities and to review the disposal site for expired supplies,” the statement read in part.
According to the statement, the Gumbo warehouse was government facility with ample space that accommodate more commodities especially the upcoming HSTP consignments.
The courtesy visit was to strengthen supply chain management within the county.
“This visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen supply chain management under the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP), a government-led initiative funded by the World Bank and consortium of donors with its fund being managed, UNICEF South Sudan and WHO – Republic of South Sudan,” the statement read.
“Together, we are committed to ensuring efficient health commodity management for better health outcomes,” the statement partly read.
