Four Yei local administrators transferred to Juba City Council

By James Innocent

‎Yei River County Commissioner Hon. Samuel Henry Malimbo has described the transfer of four local government administrators from Yei River County to Juba City Council as a routine administrative process aimed at strengthening public service and institutional cooperation.

‎Speaking during the meeting for the outgoing officials, Malimbo urged the administrators to embrace their new responsibilities with professionalism, dedication, and a spirit of cooperation.

‎He encouraged them to continue applying their skills and experience in their new postings while maintaining a commitment to serving the public.

‎The four administrators, who have been serving in Yei River County, were transferred to Juba City Council as part of a routine administrative reshuffle within the local government system.

‎Yei River County Executive Director Hillary John Konga said the county administration would provide the necessary logistical support to facilitate the officials’ relocation and transition to their new assignments in Juba.

‎Konga also commended the outgoing administrators for their service and dedication, particularly their contribution to improving local revenue collection and strengthening county administration during their tenure.

‎”We appreciate the commitment and hard work demonstrated by the administrators during their years of service in Yei River County,” he said.

‎One of the transferred officials noted that the group had served in Yei’s local government administration since 2018, contributing to governance and public service delivery across the county.

‎Hakim Cons, the Acting Payam Director of Otogo, said the administrators had remained stationed in Yei for several years and viewed the transfer as an opportunity to gain new experience and share their expertise with colleagues in Juba.

‎”We have worked in Yei since 2018, and this transfer provides an opportunity to learn from other administrators while contributing our experience in a new environment,” he said.

‎Administrative transfers are common within South Sudan’s local government system and are often undertaken to strengthen institutional capacity, promote professional development, and improve service delivery across different regions.
