South Sudan Bright Star football fans have called on South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) to reduce entrance fees for watching football games in Juba National stadium.
The complaint followed the fixed prices that range between 20,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) and 70,000 for the game between South Sudan and Senegal scheduled for today.
In an exclusive interview with this outlet on Thursday, Kizito Otono, the player of City Light F.C from Juba Local Football Federation, said that the SSFF should reduce the ticket in order for citizen to watch the game.
“The entrance fee for watching South Sudan versus Senegal is too much. At least the management of SSFA should reduce the money so that the young players who have that interest could d watch,” Otono said.
He underscored the last game between South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo was also expensive to hence blocking fans from witnessing the world football players live at Juba National Stadium.
“This discourages some people who can’t afford to watch such an exciting game,” he stated.
On his part, Nartisio Loluke Mathias, a winger playing for Gumbo FC stated that he wished the new president of SSFF could come with new ideas to allow football Academy to witness the games freely.
“I wish they allow all young players from Academy to watch for free to inspire them to do hard practice since football is now a profession,” Loluke stated.
However, the SSFF management issued the statement yesterday citing that those prices remain reasonable as they vary from tickets to tickets.
The Federation stated that charges such as 70, 000 SSP, 40,000 SSP, 30,000 SSP and 20,000 SSP range from VIP ticket, first class Ticket, second class ticket and ordinary.
According to the Federation, the fans could pay for what they can afford within the mention prices.
