Northern bahr el Ghazal state (NBGs) youth union has officially received on Monday a vehicle from the office of the Governor.
In a letter of appreciation letter seen by this outlet, the youth union expressed their gratitude for the receipt of the donated vehicle.
The handover took place on February 2, 2026 which they say is timely and significant, in a post that the youth body has made public on social media. The youth body cited that the vehicle would streamline and ease the transport of their staff to and from state to counties for meetings.
“This timely support is a significant boost to the Youth’s Union’s Operation and will enhance mobility, coordination, and the effective implementation of youth empowerment and development initiatives across the state” The post read impart.
“The youth appreciates the Governor’s continued commitment to supporting the young people and reaffirms its pledge to use the vehicle responsibly and strictly for official activities that benefit the youth and the wider community” It continued.
The association that is a non-political entity has received the gift from the Governor which some say is among the vehicles which were handed over by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan(UNMISS) that left Aweil, Northern Bahr El Ghazal state early this year, some say the state government has to direct funds to the young people.
Last week, in a meeting attended by hundreds of young graduates over the weekend in juba at Centry Hotel, the youth cited lack of consideration when it comes to employment.
They call the politicians to think along the lines of put into considerations their plights as many are on the streets, leaving them vulnerable to joining political camps where they end up doing nasty activities, that are being shunned by politicians.
