The status of roads within Central Equatoria State remains a significant challenge, with many roads becoming impassable during the rainy season. This has a direct impact on trade, humanitarian aid delivery, and the movement of goods and people.
Within Juba City, there has been a focus on paving key urban roads to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity. Additionally, the government, often in partnership with some private companies, has undertaken projects to rehabilitate major arterial roads within the City. However, despite these efforts, many feeder roads and routes connecting rural communities remain in poor condition, highlighting the need for continued investment and infrastructure development.
