Sermon Title: God Is Our Refuge and Strength; His Help Is Always Available in Times of Trouble for His Chosen People in Beloved South Sudan Since Eternity
Psalm 46:1–11
Dear brother and sister in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Welcome to the fold of our living God, here in beloved South Sudan. The God of our father Abraham, the God of our father Isaac, and the God of our father Jacob has blessed this morning with grace for His chosen people in South Sudan since eternity past. May you be well and in good health.
Beloved brethren, I would first like to point you to this grace from the Holy Bible, as you prepare your hearts spiritually in your daily lives with faith and trust in God alone, who has no partner.
A Brief Overview:
God is our refuge and strength, His help is always available in times of trouble for His chosen people in beloved South Sudan—since eternity.
Dear brothers and sisters, the Holy Bible encourages and teaches us that God is with us day and night, no matter the living conditions or the works of the devil and his angels that flow throughout beloved South Sudan. But no—we do not accept the works of the devil and his angels, because God is with us in South Sudan. Believers are able to cast out these evil forces through prayer, fasting, and daily reading of the Holy Bible. He reigns in heaven and on earth in our nation today. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah!
Let us now return to the Holy Bible and hear what it says in Psalm 46:1–5:
- God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
- Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.
- Though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
- There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
- God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
- Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; He lifts His voice, the earth melts.
- The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
- Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations He has brought on the earth.
- He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire.
- He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
- The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Not only this, but the Bible also speaks of peace with God in Romans 5:3–5:
- Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
- perseverance, character; and character, hope.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
The Bible also speaks of patience and prayer in James 5:7–8:
- Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.
- You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
In Conclusion, Beloved Brethren:
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
